ROBERTS RESIDENCE
Nestled on a 75 acre plot in rural Trinity, NC, the Roberts Residence provides a remote escape for its owners and their family of dogs. During design, the owners sought programming with clear delineation between public and private spaces. The home’s public spaces allow for entertaining and recreation, while the private areas invite rest and reflection.

CONNECTIONS TO NATURE
Through covered outdoor spaces, operable doors, and walk-out terraces, an emphasis is placed on a symbiotic relationship between the residence and its natural surroundings. With thoughtfully placed fenestration, the home takes full advantage of views to a nearby stream and wooded surroundings.
PRIVATE OASIS
A pool provides an oasis while connecting with the sounds of the stream. Acetylated wood cladding, metal, and stucco reinforce natural integration, and brings strong longevity to the residence’s lifespan. The simplistic design move of the home gives precedence to nature’s inspiration each time the owners need to get away.
