CENTER GROVE RESIDENCE

Hidden amongst the shadows from its surrounding foliage is the Center Grove Residence. Having had careers in New York City, the homeowners desired a space that would allow them to reconnect with nature and experience the environment even when inside. The home’s form is sculptural, inspired by the homeowners’ interest in art and a wish for the house itself to be inhabitable art.

BOLD & WHIMSICAL

“Taylor makes inspirational choices. She is connected to talented local craftspeople, who create distinctive furniture. Each room in our home is different, a bold mixture of textiles, wallpapers and sumptuous colors. This is the magical outcome of Taylor’s vision.”

- Ed & Lisa, Clients

PUBLIC & PRIVATE

Wanting a distinction between public and private spaces, the residence is split into two offset, meandering corridors that give framed views to the exterior. Intentional location of the discrete corridors within the site’s open and wooded sections heightens the home’s public and private areas. An incorporation of universal design brings a flowing ease of movement to the space.
