BLAUHAUS RESIDENCE
BlauHaus takes the vernacular gabled house and questions how much is needed to serve its function. The façade is treated as a foldable membrane, responding to the site and interior forms. While the gabled side houses residential functions, the flat roofed form is primarily for storage and utilitarian usage, keeping the residential side modest and orderly.

SIMPLE & BRIGHT
BlauHaus seamlessly marries gabled and flat roof sections, united by an elevated roof deck. The exterior is clad in a combination of cementitious siding and standing seam metal panels adorned with striking red accents. Inside, the space is a sanctuary from the bustle of daily life, bathed in natural light pouring through window walls, featuring bamboo floors, and vibrant red accents echoing the exterior.
